Departure to Toronto, 06/05/14

Thanks David! The trip started out with a bang! Go figure I got no sleep. My body is rested but my mind would not shut down. Yesterday was rough! Went to the bank to tell them I would be traveling and was advised I needed to change my account type. That was great, fine and dandy until I couldn't use my debut card! 😠😤😠😤 Seriously... Who needs money on a vacation?

Next, I went to get medication refills. This is where I discovered A) my new debit card didn't work, B) I have no idea what happened to the old debit card, and C) My doctor is out of town and some of my medications could not be filled unless I went into the office. Really, 10 years of medical records doesn't provide you with enough information to REFILL my meds?? Cool... Going prescription "commando" for weeks. This should be fun.

I then went to Verizon to understand what I needed to know about international usage and to ask about storage issues. By the time I hit there I was really on edge... When I didn't get any positive information there I broke! Tears spilling down my face in a silent but unstoppable tribute to my frustration. The incredible Ashley was so kind and empathetic to me! I walked out of there with a new 5S, 32 GB of memory and a backup charge for a great price. Things were looking up! Thank you Ashley!

Upon checking in at Air Canada this morning I was greeted with no wait to check in! And, I had that scary teacher feeling with the Rep... I Know You... But how?? Turns out David was a caregiver to my mom. He hooked me up with priority baggage (first off the plane) and he let me check my second bag for free!

Thanks David!

Next, Bailey and I got to spend a few last minutes together. Goodbyes are never easy, even in happy times. 😢😢 A sleepy, tearful hug goodbye
And I was on my way through security. I am looking to have a terrific summer!

Finally on board!
I should have taken a photo of the dude in front if me! He had his seat reclined the whole way! We were packed in like sardines! There is a special place in hell for guys like that! The guy next to me was 6' 2"... He had no place to move!

Stay tuned for the Toronto to Paris leg of the journey!
